NYE + Day: Because of the pretty poor snow I've spent far too much time drinking and far too little skiing. Pretty much happened again. Beers at ours then town centre for 12pm followed by 3 hours of dancing on the bar at Munster. Excellent night.

After very little sleep Emily and I headed up Le Tour. The closed red off Tete de Balme actually had pretty good snow with a few rocky patches. Soberingly one of the cornices had collapsed and taken out the whole piste, onto the other side and down a gully. It wasn't deep but it shows how much snow they hold... The off piste below looked pretty grim so we skipped it and traversed out. After a few laps we joined May and Holly for a relaxed ski.

Good to get up the mountain taking in the view rather than sitting around feeling sorry for myself like I usually do on NY day. Cheeky tartiflette for dinner. Great day!
